What SunorSnow is

SunorSnow started as a simple idea: checking the weather in several places at once should not require five browser tabs. The weather dashboard lets you follow live conditions and a three-day forecast for up to six cities side by side — useful for travel planning, keeping an eye on family in other countries, or comparing destinations before booking.

Live numbers only tell part of the story, so the site also publishes climate guides for 30 major cities — each with a month-by-month table, a written guide to the seasons and local weather quirks, practical packing advice and the best time to visit — along with weather explainers and a blog covering topics like heat index, air quality and why forecasts lose accuracy after a week. All guides and explainers are available in English, Spanish, French, Hindi and Arabic, with full right-to-left support for Arabic.

Who writes SunorSnow

Cecile Ancieux — Editor

Cecile writes and maintains SunorSnow's climate guides, weather explainers and blog articles, and oversees the translated editions. She checks the figures in every guide against published long-term climate data, keeps pages up to date when records or recommendations change, and handles reader corrections.

SunorSnow is independently owned and operated. It is part of a small network of free reference sites that also includes Beelad (country information), CoolTexTool (text tools), elCalculador (calculators), SamemaS (unit conversion) and TimeAndCal (world time and calendars), as well as Hoyooken, a new site of easy, free-to-play games.

How we create and check our content

• Live weather: current conditions, hourly and three-day forecasts, UV index and air quality on the dashboard come from WeatherAPI.com, which aggregates output from global and regional forecast models. We do not alter these figures.
• Climate averages: the monthly highs, lows, rainfall and humidity in our city guides are rounded long-term averages, consistent with the climate normals published by national weather services and the World Meteorological Organization. Individual years can differ noticeably from these averages.
• Explanations and advice: descriptions of seasons, local weather patterns and science topics are based on standard meteorology references and official weather-service guidance. Where we mention specific events — record temperatures, major floods or storms — we cite the year so readers can look them up.
• Tools we use: drafts and translations may be prepared with the help of software tools, including AI writing assistants. Facts and figures are checked by our editor before publication, and pages carry the date they were last updated.
• Corrections: if you spot an error, please tell us. We review every report and correct confirmed mistakes promptly.

Advertising and independence

SunorSnow is free to use and is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no influence over what we write, which cities we cover or what we recommend, and we do not accept paid placements in our guides. Ads are kept out of the dashboard itself and away from our policy and contact pages.

Your privacy
